Dwight Evans "Chip" Funderburk, II, PE

Mr. Funderburk began his career in Augusta, Georgia in 1997 as a project engineer for Cranston, Robertson and Whitehurst, P.C. where he worked until December, 2001. As part of the CRW staff, Mr. Funderburk had the opportunity to work on a vast array of engineering assignments including school campuses, sports complexes, commercial and industrial sites, residential developments and utility transmission mains to name a few. In January 2002, Mr. Funderburk relocated to Greenwood, South Carolina to become the head of the civil engineering department at Heaner, Inc. In his new position, his duties and responsibilities expanded to include management and business development; however, he remained committed to developing and furthering his engineering knowledge base. Most recently in 2010, Mr. Funderburk assumed control of what is now Heaner Design Group.
Over his career, Mr. Funderburk has had the opportunity to work in various project types which include site design, road and parking lot design, storm water management, water distribution and sanitary sewer collection systems, pump stations and force mains, large diameter water transmission mains, site assessments and feasibility studies, and industrial site certifications. Mr. Funderburk, also has a thorough understanding of the preparation of technical specifications, contract documents and bidding services, material take-offs, construction cost estimates and construction quality inspections.
